Perhaps a future vet in the making?

Well done to Josh, who met Dublin hurler Cian O Callaghan on Saturday! Josh received a presentation from Alliance for his performance in our school hurling final last year, at half time on Saturday night! No doubt Josh could be wearing the sky blue of the DUBS in the future!

Draculas First Day at School

The Importance of being Happy

Written by Dwayne Byrne

Happiness sounds like laughter as people are feeling joyful and at peace.

Happiness smells like a strawberry scented candle that gives off a sweet pleasant aroma.

Happiness tastes like a mouth watering chocolate cake that I will day dream about all day.

Happiness looks like people having a cracking time at an awesome and exciting event.

Happiness feels like I’m on top of the world !!!

The Opposite of Happiness
 Written by Dwayne Byrne

Sadness sounds like people wailing as they are having a bad time.

Sadness smells like grey sky, without sun for days together and not a ray of hope anywhere

Sadness tastes of a semi-soggy cake from which most of the icing has been scraped.

Sadness looks like people crying at the church over a lost one.

Sadness feels like disappointment and depression.

Anger Senses Poem
Written by Dwayne Byrne

Anger feels like boiling water, a firework that is about to explode and a volcano about to erupt.

Anger looks like people having tantrums when they don’t get their own way.

Anger smells like burnt toast lingering in the air.

Anger tastes like vomit coming up your throat.

Anger sounds like screaming and shouting that can be heard for miles around.

Being Happy
Written by Dwayne Byrne

When people are happy they are healthier.

When people are happy they are more successful.

When people are happy they are confident.

When people are happy they are creative.

When you’re happy you are surrounded by friends.

Happy people are less stressed.

The Importance of being Happy

My name is Tom Bitiu, and I am in 6th class. I am from Ireland but my mam is from Lithunia and my dad is from Moldova. On the 9th October, I captained my Gaelic team to our final in Croke Park. I wore number 3, the important position of full back! I was proud to lead my team to victory. I was delighted with the performance we put in as a team. Since the competition has started, we have gotten better and better.Smile

We have really worked well as team and shown great determination!

When I went home on the day of the semi-final, I told all of my family my exciting news. I told my mam, dad and grandparents. I had to skype my grandparents! They were very proud of me. I was very proud of myself.

Being captain is extra special to me, as I am the first Irish Lithunian Moldovan Captain Scoil Chiaráin has ever had! Cool
